Quick Tomato Soup with Tortellini

    30 minutes

Some dried herbs and tortellini transform the simplest lunch into something, well, almost sophisticated. Great with toasted cheese sandwiches.

great for a midweek cant think of what to cook meal!  -  18 Mar 2009

Used different ingredients. I used a couple of pinches of masterfoods spaghetti bolognese dried herbs, pretty much the same dried herbs as usd in the recipe but also has thyme garlic and redbell peppers. I also added a shake or two of mccormicks garlic powder just because it needed that extra something.  -  18 Mar 2009

This got a 4 because it was so easy, but I did have to make modifications to this recipe. I altered the recipe to my own tastes/servings as follows: 1 10 0z can tomato soup 1 14 oz can diced tomatoes 1 1/2 soup cans of chicken broth *kept seasonings same but added garlic powder and onion powder* 1/2 pkg cheese tortellini this was so good. chicken broth i think makes a difference - also using tomatoes in it gives it more texture.  -  12 May 2006  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
