Cheesy Mustard Broccoli

    This is a great and easy way to make a broccoli side dish. Dijon mustard adds a little kick to a cheesy dish!

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
    • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
    • 120g your favourite cheese

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Steam broccoli until tender-crisp.
    2. Toss broccoli with mustard, then melt the cheese over the broccoli in a microwave for 1 minute on HIGH. Stir and serve.

    Broccoli tossed with Dijon just didn't appeal to me, neither in taste nor appearance. But cheese sauce made with Velveeta did! I don't think I've had that since my kids were still at home, YEARS ago. I do like Dijon mustard, however, so I mixed it in a bowl with the cheese and a little milk and microwaved it, making a creamy cheese sauce with a little Dijon tang that I drizzled over the cooked broccoli.
