Taco Beef Pasta Bake

    Serves: 10 

    • 500g lean beef mince
    • 220g macaroni
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1 (300g) tin condensed tomato soup
    • 1 (400g) can diced tomatoes
    • 1 (35g) packet taco seasoning mix
    • 100g grated Cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup crushed corn chips
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/4 cup chopped spring onions

    Preparation:25min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:1hour 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until al dente. Drain.
    3. In a large frypan, cook and stir beef mince and chopped onion over medium heat until brown. Mix in tomato soup, diced tomatoes and taco seasoning mix. Stir in pasta.
    4. Spoon beef mixture into a 20x30cm baking dish. Sprinkle crumbled corn chips and grated cheese on top.
    5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve with chopped spring onions and sour cream, if desired.

    I have made this recipe a few times for the family I work for and they love it. Very easy to do.  -  05 Jan 2013


    I followed the recipe exactly except I used 2 packets of Taco seasoning and omitted to corn chip, sour cream and spring onion topping. The pasta bake was so rich and flavourful that adding the topping would have been overkill. I will definitely make this again. Thank you for sharing, Debi.  -  02 Sep 2012
