Make this delicious dessert in small cups, such as fancy teacups. This treat is thicker than chocolate mousse and very smooth.


Serves: 4 

  • 220g good quality dark chocolate
  • 150ml thickened cream
  • 100ml full fat milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 egg

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:6hours chilling  ›  Ready in:6hours15min 

  1. Put chocolate into a food processor and process until finely chopped.
  2. Heat the milk and cream together until nearly boiling, mix in the vanilla and allspice. Pour into processor, process for 30 seconds, add egg and process for 45 seconds.
  3. Pour the mixture into tea-cups and chill for 6 hours (or overnight) in a fridge.

This is for the serious chocoholic. This has a deep, creamy chocolate flavor, and is incredibly easy to make. Perfect served in punch cups topped with whip cream to cut back on the richness of the dessert. This is a keeper! - 26 Feb 2014
