    25 minutes

This is a great and very simple pasta dish that combines bacon and garlic for a taste sensation! This is also good with sauteed prawns.

    Serves: 8

    • 500g packet spaghetti
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 8 slices bacon, cut into 5mm pieces
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min

    1. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the spaghetti, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink.
    2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large frypan over medium heat. Stir in the bacon and cook until the bacon has begun to shrink, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and continue cooking and stirring until the garlic has softened and the bacon is crisp, about 5 minutes. Toss the drained pasta with the bacon, oil and parsley to serve.

Perfect side dish, perfect comfort food. To tell you the truth, have this with nothing more than a tossed green salad and some good bread and you've got yourself quite a meal. Simple perfection.  -  27 Sep 2012  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I make this all the time for a quick easy inexpensive meal or side. I throw chopped up onion, mushrooms squash or any combination of vegetables on hand while sauteing. Always a hit and an easy way to get veggies in kids...what kid does not love spaghetti!!  -  26 May 2010  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I make this all the time...and then sprinle with parm cheese before serving.  -  25 May 2010  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
