The sweet-sour kumquats form a lovely contrast with tuna steaks in this aromatic dish. Serve with couscous.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2

    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
    • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
    • 250g tuna steaks
    • 3 kumquats - rinsed, pips removed and sliced
    • handful chopped fresh coriander

Used different ingredients. This was the first time I had made tuna steaks - quite tasty! I couldn't find kumquats so I used a small orange, sliced with the peel, to top the steaks while they were cooking. With the fresh coriander, it smelled wonderful while it was cooking. - 29 Sep 2008

This was wonderful, just be very careful not to overcook the tuna. - 29 Sep 2008

This recipe was sort of a disappointment. Perhaps I didn't watch it too closely, but the steaks came out too dry. - 29 Sep 2008
