This is the dessert I make when I want something super easy but sweet and comforting. Serve with ice cream.


Serves: 18 

  • 1 cup (125g) self-raising flour
  • 1 cup (200g) white sugar
  • 1 cup (250ml) milk
  • 2 (400g) tins sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 125g butter

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:40min  ›  Ready in:50min 

  1. Melt butter or margarine in 20x30cm pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar and milk. Pour mixture into the pan. Spread peaches including syrup evenly around the pan.
  3. Bake at 180 degrees C for 30 to 40 minutes, until the crust turns golden brown. Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
