1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup (125ml) golden syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup (250g) peanut butter
3 cups crushed cornflakes

In a large saucepan stir together the brown sugar and golden syrup. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla until smooth. Fold in the cornflakes until they are all evenly coated. Press evenly into a 20x30cm pan, chill and cut into squares.
