    Sweet chewy cornflakes bars with golden syrup, perfect for a cake stall. They are the best bars I have ever eaten.

    Serves: 20 

    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) golden syrup
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1 cup (250g) peanut butter
    • 3 cups crushed cornflakes

    1. In a large saucepan stir together the brown sugar and golden syrup. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla until smooth. Fold in the cornflakes until they are all evenly coated. Press evenly into a 20x30cm pan, chill and cut into squares.
