    Pork goes very well with fruit flavours. In this case pork chops are quickly browned and served with a soy sauce-orange sauce.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 500g boneless pork chops
    • 2/3 cup (170ml) orange juice
    • 1/4 cup (65ml) soy sauce
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
    • 2 teaspoons water
    • 1 teaspoon cornflour

    1. Heat oil in a large heavy frypan over medium heat. Cook pork chops until evenly brown on both sides; remove from frypan.
    2. Pour in orange juice, soy sauce and sugar. Boil for 2 minutes, scraping the bottom of pan. In a small bowl, mix together water and cornflour and stir into sauce. Return pork to frypan and cook briefly until thickened and heated through.
