    Grilled Roast Beef and Provolone Sandwich

    I love making this toasted sandwich. The combination of flavours is intense and satisfying. Also works with ham, chicken, turkey, etc.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 long bread rolls, split
    • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
    • 2 teaspoons coarse-ground mustard
    • 500g sliced roast beef
    • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
    • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
    • 4 slices provolone cheese
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Preheat grill.
    2. Cut rolls in half and toast. Place on a baking tray. Spread each half with mayonnaise and mustard. Layer with roast beef, tomato, red onion, Provolone, salt and pepper.
    3. Grill 10cm from heat source for 2 to 4 minutes (keep a constant eye on it) until cheese is bubbly and is beginning to brown.
