    These are delicious sweet and chewy biscuits with the flavours of walnut and cinnamon. Makes a change from your average chocolate chip biscuit.

    Serves: 36 

    • 250g butter
    • 2 cups (440g) white sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1 tablespoon molasses
    • 2 cups (250g) plain flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons bicarb soda
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 cup (125g) chopped walnuts
    • 2 cups (300g) quick cooking oats
    • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
    • 2/3 cup raisins

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease baking trays.
    2. Cream together the butter and sugar. Add eggs, molasses and vanilla.
    3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon and bicarb soda. Gradually add to the cream mixture.
    4. Stir in oatmeal, raisins, nuts and chocolate chips.
    5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking tray. Bake for 12 minutes or until light brown.
