This is a very quick and simple tuna salad and hard to beat for flavour. The addition of crunchy shoestring chips is what makes it special.
This was very tasty. I had some shoestring potatoes that were sent over from Canada in a snack trade just itching for a recipe like this. And you know, my kids freaking loved it! I added a little chopped garlic dill to it. Kids ate theirs on bread, I ate mine alone. (Mom's cutting back on carbs, you know.) I didn't even miss the bread! - 20 May 2009 (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
Loved it! We omitted the onion and substituted raisins to make it more appealing to our young kids. And, we substituted potato chips for the shoestring potatoes (we didn't have shoestrings). Overall, it's a keeper. - 21 Feb 2010 (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
Also excellent using canned chicken in place of tuna! - 12 Aug 2010 (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
