    Chocolate chip biscuits are all about the chocolate, aren't they? This recipe has an extra large dose of chocolate chips for those who want to cut to the chase.

    Makes: 48 biscuits

    • 125g margarine
    • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup white sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1 1/8 cups plain flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon bicarb soda
    • 1 1/4 cups dark chocolate chips

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. In a mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugars. Add beaten egg and vanilla, mix well. Sift flour, bicarb soda and salt together. Stir into creamed mixture; blend thoroughly. Fold in chocolate chips.
    3. Drop by teaspoon onto baking trays. Bake in oven for 6-9 minutes, depending on size. Do not overbake. Biscuits should be a little brown around the edges when taken out. Let biscuits cool for a few minutes before removing from baking tray. Finish cooling on rack.
