    This kind of biscuit, called 'Krumkake,' is a traditional Norwegian goodie made with a Krumkake iron on top of the stove, then rolled around a cylinder (broomstick in the old days) until cool.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) white sugar
    • 1 cup (250ml) thickened cream
    • 1 1/4 cups (155g) plain flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

    Directions
    Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Beat egg. Add sugar and vanilla and mix well. Add whipping cream. Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
    2. When krumkake iron is hot, put 1 teaspoon of batter on the iron and bake until light brown. Roll on stick immediately when krumkake is still hot.
