200g shortening such as margarine
1 1/2 cups (190g) icing sugar
1/4 cup (60ml) milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1/2 teaspoon almond essence

In a large bowl, beat shortening and sugar together until smooth. Slowly mix in milk, vanilla and almond essence. Beat on high speed of an electric mixer for 5 to 7 minutes, scraping often until mixture is light and fluffy.
