Coleslaw is a great side dish for a backyard barbecue and here's a great way to jazz it up with Asian flavours. Very easy to make.


Serves: 8 

  • 1 packet instant beef flavoured noodles, with seasoning packet
  • 90g roasted sunflower seed kernels
  • 90g sliced almonds
  • 1 bunch spring onions, chopped
  • 1 cup vinaigrette salad dressing
  • 1/2 cup (125g) white sugar
  • 500g prepackaged coleslaw mix

Preparation:10min  ›  Extra time:1hour chilling  ›  Ready in:1hour10min 

  1. Crush the instant noodles in a bowl and stir in the beef seasoning packet, sunflower seeds, almonds, spring onions, salad dressing and sugar, mixing until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Place the coleslaw mix into a large salad bowl, pour the dressing mixture over, and toss lightly to combine well. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
