Try using vanilla cake mix instead of flour in your next batch of chocolate chip biscuits! It adds a lovely crumbly texture.


Makes: 36 biscuits

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 (520g) packet vanilla cake mix
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease a baking tray.
  2. In a large bowl cream together the eggs, water, margarine and peanut butter. Stir in the cake mix and blend well. Finally, fold in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared baking tray.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow biscuits to cool on baking tray for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
