Mango and Raspberry Crumb Cake

This is a beautiful cake that is made with butter milk and includes mangos and raspberries. I like to eat this for dessert as there is something about the warm pieces of fruit that appeals to me.

This pie is wonderful! I did a double batch and cooked it on the rack second from bottom for 15 minutes @ 400, then 30 minutes at 325 as another reviewer suggested. I had a large lemon which produced lots of zest and gave a nice flavor along with the juice. I recommend using the thick Bavarian buttermilk rather than the watery store brand. I, also, sprinkled the cinnamon on top rather than mixing it in.

I substituted cinnamon for the optional nutmeg as suggested in review. I think it could be five stars without cinnamon in cake batter. Texture was just right. Had a combination of fruit, a little bit of raspberries, mango and blackberries was perfect.
