Colourful and delicious!!! I usually use this mix of smarties and choc chips, but you can experiment and add in whatever you want to the mix.... peanut m&ms work a treat too! Make sure you mix these by hand so the smarties don't get broken up

Serves: 36

  • 1 cup (220g) white sugar
  • 1/2 cup (80g) brown sugar
  • 2 cups (250g) plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup smarties
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 190g butter, softened
  • 2 eggs

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Sieve the flour and mix the flour, sugar, bi-carb and salt together. Add the choc chips and smarties into the mix.
  3. Mix in the butter then beat in the eggs. Then add in the eggs. Beat well to make sure everything is blended.
  4. Drop by heaped teaspoons onto an ungreased baking tray. Make sure to keep them nice and far apart on the baking tray though as they spread out.
  5. Bake in your preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, the edges should be nice and browned... yummy
  6. When they are done, let them cool for a minute on the baking tray, then cool on a rack.

I haven't tried this recipe, but I wanted to mention that it comes under nut free recipes. Sadly it's not nut free - 03 Feb 2013
