The family loves this cheese packed fettuccine pasta bake the uses cream, Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese and Mozzarella cheese. You can exchange the cheeses as desired.


Serves: 8 

  • 250g dry fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup (250ml) thickened cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 120g grated mozzarella cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Lightly grease a medium casserole dish.
  2. Bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  3. In a frypan over medium heat melt the butter and cook the onion until tender. Stir in the fettuccine, cream, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup Romano cheese, salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer to the prepared dish. In a bowl mix the remaining Parmesan, remaining Romano and mozzarella. Sprinkle the cheese mixture over the fettuccine mixture.
  5. Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven until bubbly and golden brown.
