Serve with mashed potatoes, peas, cabbage and white sauce.
It is most important you use the Schweppes Dry Ginger Ale. The other brands are too full of sugar and the taste won't be the same.

Admittedly didnt trust just the two ingredients so added 2 bay leaves & half an onion skewered with 4 cloves. I used 2 litres of the dry ginger to cover. It was a hit with the family with just a hint of flavour from the ginger ale. Another keeper for me - Thanks Helen - 19 Jul 2016
