If you like garlic, this is a great way to eat green beans, sauteed with a whole head of garlic and topped with Parmesan.

    Serves: 5

    • 30g butter
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 medium head garlic - peeled and sliced
    • 750g green beans, trimmed and halved
    • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
    • grated Parmesan cheese to serve

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min

    1. In a large frying pan over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil; add garlic, and cook until lightly browned, stirring frequently.
    2. Stir in green beans, and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until beans are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Something else. Very good. I steamed fresh green beans for 2-3 minutes then sauteed them as recipe stated.  -  29 Sep 2008

Easy to make and delicious to eat. I used fresh green beans that I steamed before adding to the sauteed garlic.  -  29 Sep 2008
