Double Salmon Pâté

If you have some leftover salmon this is a great option to use it. Baked salmon combined with smoked salmon, butter and dill then blended until smooth. Serve with crackers or similar.


Serves: 10 

  • 250g salmon fillets or steaks
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill
  • 125g butter, softened
  • 125g smoked salmon

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Place fresh salmon onto a large sheet of foil. Season with salt, pepper and close the foil but not completely.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes until the salmon is cooked but not dry.
  4. Place the dill, butter, smoked salmon and cooked salmon into a food processor and process until just blended.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl then cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
