Stir Fried Pork in Oyster Sauce

    A simple and quick Chinese dinner with pork, spring onions and garlic stir fried then combined with oyster sauce. Serve with rice.

    Serves: 3 

    • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
    • 1-2 tablespoons cornflour mixed in 1 tablespoon water
    • 450g pork, cut into strips
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 1 tablespoon diced garlic
    • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
    • 4-5 spring onions, cut into 2.5cm pieces
    • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 2 teaspoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons water

    1. Make the marinade by mixing together the sugar, salt, soy sauce and cornflour slurry. Mix in the pork then let marinate for 15 minutes.
    2. Heat a wok over high-heat and stir fry the garlic in the oil until brown and aromatic.
    3. Add the pork and stir until cooked then add the Shaoxing wine and spring onions.
    4. Add the oyster sauce, sugar and water then stir until well incorporated. Serve.


    Shaoxing wine can be purchased in Asian speciality shops.
