Extremely easy and quick to make this kimchi and beansprout stir fry is a great side dish or light vegetarian meal.


Serves: 2 

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 225g bean sprouts
  • 4-5 pieces kimchi, finely diced
  • 4 spring onions, cut into 2.5cm pieces
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Heat a large frying pan with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Stir fry the bean sprouts; 1 minute.
  2. Add the kimchi and spring onions.
  3. Add the water then cover the frying pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add salt to taste. Turn off the heat and sprinkle over the sesame oil before serving.


Kimchi is a traditional Korean pickled vegetable side dish. You can purchase kimchi in jars at Chinese/Oriental speciality shops or online.
