    This is my take on stewed apples. It's tart and sweet and excellent on its own, with porridge or as a dessert. Yummo!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 1.5Kg apples
    • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 Tablespoon raw sugar
    • 1 Litre water

    Directions
    Preparation:1hour  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:1hour30min 

    1. Peel and core apples, add to pot with the water.
    2. Add cinnamon and sugar to pot.
    3. Bring to the boil and simmer until apples are tender.
    4. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
    5. Strain excess water from apples and store in an air-tight container.
