Rinse uncooked rice in a colander for at least 2 minutes under plenty of cold running water.
Combine rice, water, coconut cream and salt in a small saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook until all liquid has been absorbed.
Cook for 2 more minutes. The rice at the bottom of the saucepan may be a bit browned; that is good and adds flavour.
