It will be hard to no overindulge in this delicious chocolate custard pudding. You can serve it warm or cold, with whipped cream or even vanilla ice cream.
In a large bowl combine the bread cubes with half of the chocolate chips.
In a saucepan, mix creme fraiche, thickened cream and cocoa with a whisk over low heat. Add the remaining chocolate chips and continue mixing until the chips melt.
Beat the eggs with the sugar in a medium bowl gradually add the cream and chocolate mixture. Pour the mixture on the bread and set aside for 1 hour so that the bread absorbs much of the cream.
Preheat oven to 190 degrees C.
Pour the pudding into 6 individual ramekins or a buttered square baking dish and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
