Curry Beef Samosas

    Beef Samosas are a quick finger food ideal for your next cocktail party, serve them with the sauce of your choice such as chutney, fruit sauce, yoghurt or soy sauce.

    Serves: 10 

    • filo pastry sheets
    • 300g beef mince
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 1 tablespoon curry powder
    • 1 shallot, minced
    • 1 sprig thyme
    • 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste
    • enough oil to fry the Samosas

    1. Cook the mince with the onion, shallot, thyme and a tablespoon of oil in a large saucepan. Cook for 5 minutes until meat is well done.
    2. Remove from heat, add curry powder, season with salt and pepper.
    3. Lay out a sheet of pastry on a work surface then add a spoonful of meat mixture and fold into a triangle. Continue the process until you are out of ingredients.
    4. Add the samosas to hot oil in a saucepan over high heat and fry until golden brown.
