Ham Pasta

    This is an extremely easy pasta that uses only a few ingredients of pasta, ham and butter with an optional egg. Ideal for a quick lunch or simple kid's meal.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g short pasta (penne, fussili, etc.)
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 100g cooked ham, cubes
    • 1 egg, optional
    • 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste

    1. Boil the pasta in saltwater according to the packet's instructions to al dente then drain.
    2. 5 minutes before the pasta is finished heat butter in a frypan and sauté the ham.
    3. Add the drained pasta, if you want, beat an egg in the frypan and heat everything for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper.
