A lovely batter is made with creme fraiche which adds extra flavour and moisture. The balls are quickly fried until golden and then covered in caster sugar. A touch of cinnamon can be added.

I found this recipe when i was looking for a way to use up some left over creme fraiche before it went bad. Hubby love donuts so thought this would be ideal. Very easy to make and they tasted lovely.
