This is a super easy chocolate cherry cake which uses tinned cherries. Just mix all the ingredients and bake!


Serves: 12 

  • 200g butter
  • 180g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 125g ground nuts
  • 100g milk chocolate, grated
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons rum
  • 150g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tin cherries, drained

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour15min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and grease a springform cake tin.
  2. Mix all ingredients except for the cherries; pour into the prepared tin. Gently press the cherries evenly into the base.
  3. Bake for about 1 hour in the preheated oven.
