This is a wonderfully smooth and healthy smoothie that uses fresh blackcurrants with butter milk, honey and vanilla essence.


Serves: 4 

  • 300g blackcurrants
  • 500ml buttermilk
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup (90g) honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Preparation:10min  ›  Ready in:10min 

  1. Wash the blackcurrants and process them in a blender or mixer. Then strain through a sieve.
  2. Mix the blackcurrant puree with buttermilk, lemon juice, honey and vanilla in a blender.
  3. Pour the mixture into nice, cold glasses and garnish with lemon leaves and currant branches. Serve straightaway.
