This is a wonderfully smooth and healthy smoothie that uses fresh blackcurrants with butter milk, honey and vanilla essence.
1 lemon, juiced
1/4 cup (90g) honey
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- Wash the blackcurrants and process them in a blender or mixer. Then strain through a sieve.
- Mix the blackcurrant puree with buttermilk, lemon juice, honey and vanilla in a blender.
- Pour the mixture into nice, cold glasses and garnish with lemon leaves and currant branches. Serve straightaway.
