These are the American style buttermilk pancakes that are much thicker than those I am used to; traditionally they are served with maple syrup but you can eat them however you want.
I really enjoy these being a bit thicker...it's tempting to want to thin down the mixture, but all I can say is don't Works well with wholemeal flour as well. - 22 Apr 2011
