Easy Rice Pudding

    10 hours 20 minutes

    Although there are many ways to cook rice pudding slow cooker is my favourite and the easiest. When finished you can add jam, syrup or honey to taste.

    Serves: 4 

    • 125g pudding rice
    • 60g sugar, white or caster
    • 30g margarine
    • 1 litre milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5hours  ›  Extra time:5hours10min  ›  Ready in:10hours20min 

    1. Put all the ingredients into the slow cooker then stir and turn it on to high and cover.
    2. After about an hour stir then leave it to finish cooking for another 4 hours.

    I have never made rice pudding before, always relying on the tinned ones. This was lovely and so easy to make. I made it as the recipe. It was good both hot and cold.
