These are a very simple oat biscuits that are easy to make and eat. They are perfect for when friends drop around for a cup of tea.

Ingredients
Serves: 12
185g unsalted butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
60g demerara sugar
1 cup (125g) self-raising flour
1 cup (155g) rolled oats
1 pinch salt, to taste

Preheat the oven to 140 degrees C.
Melt the butter and syrup together in a saucepan over gentle heat. Do not let it boil. While that is happening mix together the flour and oats in a bowl.
Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar. Add a small pinch of salt.
Stir in the oat and flour mix. Add more oats if required but no more than 225g oats in total.
Spoon mixture onto greased baking tray in small blobs making sure they are evenly spaced. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
