These mushrooms are sauteed in butter with garlic, red wine and teriyaki sauce. They go wonderfully served over grilled steak or even a over a baked potato.
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
500g button mushrooms
1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
1 dash red cooking wine, to taste
1 dash teriyaki sauce, to taste
1 pinch garlic salt, to taste
1 pinch fresh ground pepper, to taste
10 min › Cook:
15 min › Ready in:
In a larger saucepan over medium heat add olive oil and butter.
Once butter has started to melt add mushrooms.
Add each additional ingredient stirring occasionally. Taste as you go to ensure it is to your liking.
Once mushrooms and sauce begin to cook reduce heat to low and simmer until mushrooms are tender but not soggy.
Serve over grilled steak. Also excellent over baked potatoes.
I made these to serve atop Delmonico steaks Mr. LTH had grilled to perfection and they were the perfect accompaniment. I didn't have any red wine, so I subbed a dash of red wine vinegar instead. I enjoyed the subtle tweak the red wine vinegar and teriyaki made from simply using butter/spices. THANKS for the recipe, irishmountaingirl!

These were good, but really, there was nothing to differentiate them from any other sauteed mushrooms that I've had. Don't think I really need a recipe for this.
