This is a unusual salad using uncooked ramen noodles along with cabbage, spring onion and almonds then topped with a sesame dressing.


Serves: 8 

  • Salad
  • 2 bunches spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 170g uncooked ramen noodles, crumbled
  • 30g slivered almonds
  • 4 tablespoons sunflower seeds, lightly toasted
  • 4 tablespoons sesame seeds, lightly toasted
  • Dressing
  • 4 tablespoons syrup
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 250ml sunflower oil
  • 6 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoons sesame oil

Preparation:8min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:23min 

  1. In a large bowl combine salad ingredients and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl combine dressing ingredients mixing well.
  3. Pour dressing over salad and toss together until salad is evenly coated. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes before serving.
