Mars Bar Rice Bubble Slice

    1 hour 30 minutes

A fun cake which is very gooey and everyone I know that's tasted it has loved it. Make it with the kids!

    31 people made this

    Serves: 20

    • 3 Mars Bars (R)
    • 80g margarine or butter
    • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 9 cups (230g) Rice Bubbles (R)
    • 1 large dark chocolate bar

    Preparation:30min  ›  Extra time:1hour chilling  ›  Ready in:1hour30min

    1. Cut Mars Bars into small pieces. Melt the maragrine, syrup and Mars Bars in a saucepan over low heat.
    2. Put the rice bubbles in a bowl and add melted mixture from saucepan slowly. Mix well. Press mixture flat into a slice tray then leave to cool.
    3. Melt the chocolate and spread over the top. Leave to set, then cut into squares.

You can make this with kids with kids, but make sure you supervise them when they melt the margarine, syrup and Mars Bars.

When setting the cake, I put it in the freezer for a short while but keep checking it so it doesn't freeze.

Better with butter. Top with melted Mars bar too, instead of ordiniary chocolate. Simply delicious.  -  26 Sep 2011  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)

Excellent. Great fun for teenagers to make and eat!!! The mars bars can be swapped with double deckers for a slightly different taste....just as popular.  -  24 Sep 2012  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
