Chocolate Malteser Slice

This is a special treat slice made of Maltesers, chocolate and crushed biscuits. Quick, easy slice that tastes delicious.

Ingredients
Serves: 25
- 350g plain sweet biscuits, Marie or digestives
- 250g butter or margarine
- 4 tablespoons golden syrup
- 200g cooking chocolate or 70% dark chocolate
- 340g Maltesers
- half a block (approx 100g) good quality white cooking chocolate

- Put the biscuits in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
- Melt butter (or margarine), syrup & dark cooking chocolate in a pan. Then mix these melted ingredients well with the crushed biscuits
- Mix Maltesers into the mixture
- Press the mixture into a baking tray (a deep tray if you have one)
- Gently melt the white cooking chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water
- Drizzle the white chocolate over the top of the Malteser slice
- Chill in the fridge for an hour or so to set.

This was an easy recipe to follow and the malteser slices were delicious. The only comment I would make is that I used less maltesers prob around 240 g. - 15 Oct 2013 (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
