A tasty potato recipe suitable to accompany roasts or other meat meals. A nice change from other potato sides like chips or mash.


Serves: 6 

  • 500g potatoes, peeled
  • 1 large celeriac
  • butter and olive oil

Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour20min 

  1. Grate both the potatoes and celeriac.
  2. Sandwich between paper towel and squeeze out as much moisture as you can.
  3. Mix together the potato and celeriac.
  4. Put some oil and butter in a roasting tray and heat it up.
  5. Add the grated vegetables and press down firmly.
  6. Put some more butter on top.
  7. Put into the oven on a high heat to roast for about 30 minutes or until golden on top.
  8. Take out of oven and carefully turn onto a plate.
  9. Put more oil and butter into the roasting tin and put the rosti back golden side down.
  10. Replace in the oven for another 30 minutes or until cooked and golden and crisp.
