Simple Blackberry Jam

This is a simple blackberry jam recipe using only four ingredients. When finished it is great on muffins and crumpets.

We have never made jam before and dreaded making a sloppy compote! But success has struck and it is a great jam to try! Everybody, start making jam! Our only criticism is that is was just a touch bland and tasted like it could do with a squeeze of lime or something zingy. Any ideas?

I'd never made jam and was nervous to see if it would work ... IT WAS AMAZING, what a recipe! Everyone was so impressed, I used blackberries from the garden so very organic - gives it a more sense of satisfaction. Off to try the plum one right now - fingers crossed x

I haven't tried the recipe yet but a question I have is what do you mean "serves 80"? Do you mean 80 spoonfuls? Also, You did not mention sterilizing the jars or afterwards, placing in a boiling water bath. IF I don't do any of those things, how long can I reasonable keep this jam before it spoils? ( I am a novice jam maker. Thank you, Linda
