Crab meat, shell pasta and capsicums are tossed in a dressing of sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice and honey. This pasta salad is great for picnics or lunch.

Serves: 8 

  • 400g pasta shells
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon mustard
  • small handful chopped fresh dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 450g cooked crab meat
  • 1/2 red capsicum, diced
  • 1/2 green capsicum, diced
  • handful chopped spring onions

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:12min  ›  Ready in:27min 

  1. Cook pasta according to pack instructions; drain and set aside to cool.
  2. In a bowl, blend the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, honey, mustard and dill. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large bowl, toss together the cooked pasta, sour cream mixture, crab meat, red and green capsicums and spring onions. Cover and chill until serving.

Used different ingredients. This was really good. I don't like capsicums so I ommited them. I added hard boiled eggs, can't have a pasta salad without eggs. I did'nt have honey mustard so I added 1T honey and 1 T yellow mustard. The crab went really well with the dressing mixture. I will make this one again. Thanks for sharing with us. - 29 Sep 2008


Used different ingredients. Excellent recipe. I added some cucumber to the mix. Next time I would reduce the amount of noodles used to make it creamier. After sitting overnight, the noodles were a bit dry. Rave reviews from friends. Definitely a keeper! - 29 Sep 2008


Used different ingredients. I read some of the previous reviews, so I doubled the sauce, added garlic, celery & hard boilded eggs. It was great! - 29 Sep 2008
