    This is a family favourite, I made them for our wedding. They are extra special and easy; great for a treat or a gift.

    Serves: 5 

    • 200g dark chocolate
    • 200g unsalted butter
    • 1 egg yolk
    • whisky, or any liqueur available or even vanilla essence
    • 1 1/2 cups (250g) icing sugar, sifted
    • cocoa powder to roll

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:20min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or double boiler.
    2. Mix butter, egg yolk and liqueur. Add to the chocolate, mix together.
    3. Stir in the icing sugar then leave to cool for 2 hours in the fridge.
    4. Roll into balls and roll in cocoa powder.
