    Porridge is taken to new heights with added fruit and bran. Apple, banana and sultanas complement the oats favourably.

    Serves: 1 

    • 1 cup (250ml) water
    • 1/2 small apple, diced
    • 1/2 banana, halved and sliced
    • 2 tablespoons sultanas
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 2/3 cup (60g) rolled oats
    • 1 tablespoon oat bran
    • honey to serve (optional)

    1. In a saucepan combine the apple, banana, sultanas, salt, cinnamon, oats and bran; bring to the boil.
    2. Cook for 5 minutes or until oats are tender; stirring occasionally. Drizzle with honey to serve if desired.
