Yummy Choc Chip Bickies

    45 minutes

This is my recipe for great moist chocolate chip biscuits, try these if you aren't counting calories.

    1 person made this

    Makes: 20 biscuits (approx)

    • 250g butter
    • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
    • 1/2 tin sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 1/2 cups (185g) flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 2 cups chocolate chips (or as many as you feel you need)

    Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:15min cooling  ›  Ready in:45min

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C, fan forced. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add condensed milk and cream until fluffy again.
    2. Sieve flour and baking powder together and add to mix, then add all other dried ingredients.
    3. Mix until mixture comes away from the side of the bowl. It should form a moist dough and stay together - if not the mix is too dry. If so add a little more condensed milk and keep mixing.
    4. Roll out dough into even sized balls and place on a baking tray with space between each one. Flatten with the palm of your hand or a fork.
    5. Place in an oven for approximately 10-15 minutes. Watch closely as they go crunchy if overcooked and the texture is not good.
    6. Once biscuits are cooked the bottom will be golden brown. To check lift up with a spatula, if top is brown you have over cooked. Place onto a cooling rack until cool.
