A simple way to eat fresh figs that feels a bit special - the figs are grilled with brown sugar and cardomom. Nice served with mascarpone. See the suggestion for frying them.
Alternative cooking method: Melt sugar and cardamom in a pan then place figs cut side down in the pan and cook over medium heat until browned. Remove figs when cooked and add a little cream to the pan. Swirl to mix pan juices with cream, and pour over the plated figs.
