Seafood with Chilli Sauce

    This is a nice basic chilli marinade for seafood using capsicum, garlic, spices and lemon. Use it for any seafood you want to BBQ.

    Makes: 4 fillets

    • 1 to 2 teaspoons Herbie's Spices Harissa Mix Special Blend
    • 1 red capsicum, seeded and chopped
    • 4 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/3 cup (80ml) lemon juice
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil
    • 4 fish fillets or 8 king prawns

    1. For the sauce, combine all ingredients except the fish in a food processor and blend until smooth.
    2. Marinate the seafood in this sauce for up to two hours, then drain before cooking on the barbecue or in a pan.

    Other uses

    This also makes a great marinade for sweet potato chips cooked on the barbecue or in the oven. Keep unused sauce in the fridge for up to 10 days.
