Barbequed Fish with Curry Leaves and Chilli

Fish fillets are marinated in a Southern Indian flavoured marinade before being cooked on the barbie. You can also try this marinade with other seafood as well.

Serves: 4 

  • 2 tablespoons grated onion
  • 6-8 fresh curry leaves, optional
  • 2 teaspoons Herbie's Spices South Indian Seafood Masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon Herbie's Spices Medium Chilli Powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 fillets white-fleshed fish

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:30min marinating  ›  Ready in:45min 

  1. Puree the onion, curry leaves, Seafood Masala and salt, with a couple of teaspoons of water if necessary to make a paste.
  2. Spread the marinade over both sides of the fish fillets and leave for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Cook on the barbecue griddle or in a pan and serve as part of a barbecue meal.
