Bananas are simply cooked in a mixture of coconut milk and coconut cream to create a luscious treat. This dessert is simple but very delicious for the banana lover.


Serves: 6 

  • 4 large bananas, cut in half crossways then lengthways
  • 1 cup (250ml) coconut milk
  • 1 cup (220g) white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) coconut cream

  1. Bring the coconut milk to a boil in a pot. Add the bananas to the coconut milk and cook until tender; about 15 minutes.
  2. Dissolve the sugar and salt into the mixture. Stir the coconut cream through the mixture.
  3. Remove from heat; serve hot.
